স্বাধীন বাংলাদেশে কোনোরকম সন্ত্রাস-জবরদস্তি মেনে নেওয়া যায় না। যারা রুগ্ণ রাজনীতি করে, লাঠিয়াল বাহিনী ব্যবহার করে, কালো টাকা ব্যবহার করে তাদের বিষয়ে সতর্ক থাকতে হবে।গণফোরামের সভাপতি ও জাতীয় ঐক্যফ্রন্টের শীর্ষ নেতা ড. কামাল হোসেন
আজ সাভারে জাতীয় স্মৃতিসৌধে শ্রদ্ধা নিবেদন শেষে সাংবাদিকদের কাছে তিনি এ সব কথা বলেন।
ড. কামাল বলেন, ‘ আজ আমরা স্বাধীনতার ৪৭ বছর পার করলাম। আমি খুবই উৎসাহিত হচ্ছি এখানে এত লোকের উপস্থিতি। এর মানে হলো মানুষ স্বাধীনতাকে মূল্যায়ন করতে শিখেছে।’
তিনি আরো বলেন, ‘ স্বাধীনতার জন্য লাখ লাখ মানুষ জীবন দিয়েছে। যারা জীবন দিয়েছিল, স্বাধীন বাংলাদেশ চেয়েছিল তাদের ভাবনা ছিল, মানুষ কাজ পাবে, দেশে আইনের শাসন থাকবে। গণতন্ত্রের মূলনীতি থাকবে। চার মূলনীতিতে সামনে রেখে জাতির শ্রেষ্ঠ সন্তানরা জীবন দিয়েছিল।’
বিজয়ের ৪৭ বছর পর আমরা কাঙ্ক্ষিত মুক্তি পেয়েছি কি না জানতে চাইলে ড. কামাল বলেন, ‘আমরা স্বাধীনতা পেয়েছি কিন্তু আজ পর্যন্ত মুক্তি পাইনি। সেই মুক্তি পাওয়ার জন্য আমরা ঐক্যবদ্ধভাবে লড়াই করে যাচ্ছি। জনগণ ঐক্যবদ্ধ থাকলে এই মুক্তি সম্ভব।
